Alleged Samsung Galaxy M53 5G specs and design have leaked https://www.digit.in vasan.gs@9dot9.in (G. S. Vasan) Galaxy M53 5G could be one of the upcoming smartphones in Samsung’s pipeline. In the first quarter of 2022, the brand has released several Galaxy A-series and Galaxy M-series phones. Just a few days from now, on April 2, the Galaxy M33 5G is launching in India. Although the M53 5G was rumoured to launch alongside this phone in Vietnam on March 27, that didn’t happen. Still, the newly leaked renders of Galaxy M53 5G (from ytechb) make us believe that such a device exists, that is if the images are authentic. So, with a pinch of salt, here we share its ostensible details scoured from leaks and rumours so far. Samsung Galaxy M53 5G Specs and Features (Expected) Alleged Galaxy M53 5G render | Leak Source: ytechb Samsung may outfit the Galaxy M53 with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED with 1080p resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and an Infinity-O cutout. The rear cameras may be led by a 108MP main sensor, accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP macro module, and a 2MP depth shooter. Galaxy M53 5G It's disappointing to see Samsung release it with the Dimensity 900, a processor that is 26% slower than the Snapdragon 778G inside last year's M52. The battery size is reportedly 5000 milliamps and the device could support a 25W charger. All of these could come at a starting cost of VND 10.5 million, which is the rumoured price of Galaxy M53 5G in Vietnam. YouTube Picture-in-Picture mode launched on iOS in the YouTube TV app https://www.digit.in vasan.gs@9dot9.in (G. S. Vasan) YouTube iOS users are finally getting picture-in-picture (PiP) mode. Good news!? Well, the iOS PiP feature is limited to the YouTube TV app and also only for US customers now. However, the feature is coming to all users, premium or otherwise in the regular YouTube app. Besides this, YouTube is also reportedly working on an emoji reactions feature. Let’s unpack them one by one. How YouTube PiP on iOS works: Here’s the update for iPhone and iPad users YouTube Labs Page YouTube PiP allows you to watch the video in a small scaled-down window that can be moved across the screen and you can view and interact with other things on the smartphone screen. Android phones have had this feature for a long time but a large portion of iPhone YouTube users are still awaiting it. Picture-in-picture on iOS has been in testing for a while and YouTube premium subscribers could enable it in the app’s experimental settings. When you try out YouTube picture-in-picture mode on your iPhone, the videos you are watching could be opened in a mini-player and you continue using other apps on the device. Locking the screen would pause the video although you could resume by tapping the control menu available on the lockscreen. The Twitter handle of YouTube TV announced: iPhone & iPad users  We’re happy to share that picture-in-picture is now rolling out to your iOS 15+ devices. Simply select a video to watch and swipe up from the bottom of the screen to return to the device's homepage. The video can scale down and move across your screen. — YouTube TV (@YouTubeTV) March 30, 2022 What’s new is that both iPhone and iPad YouTube TV users in the US can now experience PiP. The requirement is that your device must be on iOS 15 or above software version. Also, the real good news comes from The Verge which has got a statement from Google spokesperson Allison Toh saying that the company is “still testing picture-in-picture on iOS with Premium members and hope to make it available to all iOS users (Premium and non-Premium) in the US in the coming months.” Meanwhile, the Google company is also experimenting on — Timed YouTube Emoji Reactions: How it works YouTube Timed Reactions In a blog, Google reveals it is testing a new way to share an emoji reaction (like a smiley face, confetti, etc.) at an exact moment in a YouTube video. This is in similar veins to another feature that allowed users to post a comment on specific moments of the video they are watching. Both these goodies are in the beta phase and being rolled out to a small number of channels, to begin with. Meaghan, Community Manager, TeamYouTube, said, “If you’re watching a video that is part of this experiment, you can react and see crowd reactions by opening the comment section of the video and tapping into the reaction panel. The test will also show you which moments other viewers are reacting to. We know community is important to you, so we’re committed to bringing you more features that strengthen the sense of community on YouTube”. The 20 Best Photoshop Actions in 2022

The post The 20 Best Photoshop Actions in 2022 appeared first on Digital Photography School. It was authored by Ana Mireles.

the best Photoshop actions (free and paid)

Looking for the best Photoshop actions to enhance your editing? You’ve come to the right place.

You see, the perfect action will save you time and improve your images – but there are so many options on the market that it’s often difficult to find the right one.

That’s why I’ve written this article, which details the top 20 Photoshop actions available in 2022, including options for creating painterly effects, applying a vintage look, turning your photos into triptychs, and so much more. Some of the actions are free, some are paid, and all are amazing.

You’re guaranteed to find one – or several! – actions that you love, so let’s dive right in, starting with:

1. Painterly Action Set

The 20 Best Photoshop Actions in 2022

The Painterly Action Set was created by BlackNull for Adobe Create, and it’s free to use on personal and commercial work. With it, you can add texture to your photos for a gorgeous hand-painted effect.

Before running the action, you will need to install the included brushes. Note that the action has been tested in Photoshop CC and on images up to 5000 pixels. There are lots of ways to customize this action, so make sure you read the instructions or watch the video tutorial to understand your options. Alternatively, just give it a try and see if you like the default settings.

2. AI Skin Retouching Actions

The 20 Best Photoshop Actions in 2022

If you’re into portrait retouching, this pack of skin retouching actions will save you lots of time. It contains a whopping 34 actions, which let you mattify skin, reduce pores, heal blemishes, airbrush, and more with professional-level results.

Most of the actions are powered by artificial intelligence, so you will need Photoshop CC 2018 or newer. Of course, the non-AI actions can be used with older Photoshop versions, but you’ll miss out on many of the best ones. The actions also work in layers, so they’re non-destructive.

3. Graffiti

The 20 Best Photoshop Actions in 2022

The paid Graffiti action helps you to transform any image into stunning street art in no time at all. The action also includes a pop-up effect, where part of the image appears to be coming out of a wall (see the image above!).

All the layers remain separate so you can fully customize the effect, and it works well with Photoshop CS as well as Photoshop CC.

4. Out of Bounds

The 20 Best Photoshop Actions in 2022

You may have heard of this “pop-out” effect, which essentially makes your subject pop out of the frame! The Out of Bounds Photoshop action gives you two choices: You can make the subject come out of a flat photo, or you can make the subject come out of a curled photo. You can also customize the frame size, color, and perspective.

At some point, you’ll need to indicate which parts of the photo should be positioned out of bounds. Other than that, it’s a completely automated process and very easy to use. If you have any problems, there’s a link to a video tutorial on the download page.

5. Deep Matte

The 20 Best Photoshop Actions in 2022

The (free!) Deep Matte Photoshop action desaturates and lowers the contrast of your photos for a beautiful matte effect. It’s a great way to create a subtle vintage look, and I highly recommend you try it on portraits, street shots, and travel shots.

Deep Matte is compatible with Photoshop CC 2014 or later, and it’s also available as great Lightroom preset.

6. Cross Process

The 20 Best Photoshop Actions in 2022

Cross processing is a lab technique used in film photography; it works by applying the wrong type of chemicals to your film, which allows you to deliberately alter the look of the image. Happily, you can replicate this effect in Photoshop!

Here, you’ll find many cross-processing Photoshop actions. They create different effects by adjusting the curves, hues, brightness, and saturation of your images. Before downloading, check out the Before and After samples, though you can always get them all (they’re free!).

7. Polaroid Generator 4

The 20 Best Photoshop Actions in 2022

Polaroid Generator 4 is free but available through Deviant Art, which means you need to be a member to log in and hit the Download button. Fortunately, Deviant Art’s free account allows you to download free resources offered by the community.

The main actions contained in the Polaroid Generator 4 pack include six Impossible PX600 effects, four Impossible PX680 effects, four Polaroid Type 600 effects, and four Polaroid Time Zero effects. There are also some conditional actions to try, such as Extra Emulsion, Frame Polaroid, etc.

8. Reduce Motion Blur

The 20 Best Photoshop Actions in 2022

When you’re photographing handheld with slower shutter speeds, your images might end up blurry. It’s bound to happen eventually – if you run into an amazing photo opportunity and don’t have your tripod or lighting prepared, for instance.

That’s what the Reduce Motion Blur action is for: It’s designed to handle any unwanted motion blur. Plus, it’s totally free!

9. Pencil Draw

The 20 Best Photoshop Actions in 2022

Want to make your photos look as if they were drawn with a pencil? This Pencil Draw action is exactly what you need. The action is fully customizable, and you just need to adjust the value of the Gaussian Blur filter to fine-tune the effect to your liking.

You can download the action for free if you’re a Deviant Art member (even if you only have a free account).

10. Black and White

The 20 Best Photoshop Actions in 2022

Black and White allows you to turn your color pictures into high-contrast monochrome images. There is an added effect to mimic the grain of film photography, and the cream color adds warmth and additional light to the photo.

Each layer is fully customizable so that you can adjust the effect to your liking. As with the other Deviant Art actions on this list, Black and White is free to download if you’re part of the Deviant Art community. The basic account is free and gives you access to this and other freebies offered by community members.

11. Comic Oil Paint

The 20 Best Photoshop Actions in 2022

The Comic Oil Paint package includes 10 different comic filters to help you transform your images into beautiful illustrations with one click. The action works non-destructively, so your original images remain untouched and you can tweak the effect on separate layers.

You can buy three different types of licenses for this Photoshop action (Personal, Commercial, and Extended Commercial); I recommend you read the conditions carefully before you buy and choose the license that best suits your needs.

12. Triptych Generator

The 20 Best Photoshop Actions in 2022

Triptych Generator splits your image into three canvases so that you can share it – or print it! – as a triptych. There’s even a 3D visual-effect generator that allows you to preview how the triptych would look when printed.

There are three print sizes available, and the download is completely free.

13. Infrared Photo Effect

The 20 Best Photoshop Actions in 2022

If you love the look of infrared photography but you don’t have an infrared-converted camera, then you’re going to love this pack of actions. Download the Infrared Photo Effect pack, and you’ll get eight actions to create gorgeous infrared effects. You can choose from red, orange, yellow, purple, and pink colors, and you even get a black and white version, plus – for the more adventurous photographers! – there are faded and surreal options.

14. Removing White Background

The 20 Best Photoshop Actions in 2022

Removing White Background is designed to help you remove white backdrops from your photos – even if the background pattern is complicated. The free download includes three actions that use alpha channels to speed up the process, and you’ll find instructions to download and install it on the action Download page.

15. Real Snow Photoshop Action

The 20 Best Photoshop Actions in 2022

Looking to add some realistic snow to your winter or Christmas photos? This is the action for you. The Real Snow pack features 3 excellent actions and 10 color presets, perfect for giving your shots that stunning wintry look.

Note that you can run the same action repeatedly and obtain different results, so I encourage you to have fun experimenting. The action is applied in layers so that you keep your original intact, and you can always customize the effect just the way you want it.

16. Vintage Leak

The 20 Best Photoshop Actions in 2022

Vintage Leak is a free action, but it’s part of a 62 pack featuring multiple light leaks and vintage effects. This action introduces a red-yellow light leak on the left of your image and uses Curves adjustments to give a beautiful vintage look, though if you like the results, you should consider purchasing the entire pack.

Note that every step is created in a separate layer, so you can modify each step individually and customize the look to your liking.

17. Bent Photos

The 20 Best Photoshop Actions in 2022

Remember the days of printed photos, when you’d have a print lying on your desk and it would curve slightly with time and use? That’s what this amazing Photoshop action recreates.

Specifically, the download includes three actions, designed to produce the perfect bending effect by changing the amount and direction of the curvature. The actions also add white borders and realistic shadows to give your images the most print-like effect. The action is completely free, and it’s compatible with Photoshop CS4 to CC 23.1.1 and Photoshop Elements 15 to 2022.

18. Night to Twilight

The 20 Best Photoshop Actions in 2022

Night to Twilight is a freebie meant to promote a paid package of twilight effect actions, but you can always grab just the free action – which will brighten your night photos to recover details and create a blue-hour vibe.

You can increase or decrease the intensity of the effect by adjusting the layer opacity. Of course, if you like the results and you do night photography often, consider the paid Pro version with its 11 different twilight actions.

19. Animated Glitch

The 20 Best Photoshop Actions in 2022

If you want to give your photos a glitchy, futuristic vibe, then the Animated Glitch action is the way to go. Simply open your image, apply the action, and you’ll produce a video sequence with glitch effects. You can then create variations using Photoshop’s timeline and any of the 12 color options.

There’s a detailed video that explains how to use and modify the action, and the results can be saved as images, GIFs, or videos.

20. Tiny Planet

The 20 Best Photoshop Actions in 2022

The Tiny Planet action creates, well, tiny planets with a single click. The action works with any photo, but certain images are more suitable images than others.

Happily, the download is completely free and the license is for personal and commercial use, though you do need to give attribution – so make sure you check the license agreement before you download.

How do you pick the right action?

Actions automate a series of steps to save you time and effort. Therefore, the best Photoshop actions should handle an effect or process you do often. If you frequently dodge and burn your landscape photos, a landscape dodge-and-burn action may be a big help – but you certainly don’t need a skin retouching action, even if it’s the best of its kind.

Also, before downloading an action, consider the similarity between your photos and the sample images displayed by the action creator. If your images are significantly different, don’t expect perfect result, but if your photos are quite similar, then you can feel confident the action will work well.

Last but not least, make sure every action you download is compatible with the version of Photoshop you work with; it’s no use buying an action only to learn that it won’t work with your software.

Are actions worth it?

The short answer is yes, actions are worth using – whether that involves freely downloading them, buying them, or making your own.

Of course, some photographers will get more use out of actions than others. If you rarely edit in Photoshop, or you rarely edit your photos, period, then actions may be more trouble than they’re worth.

On the other hand, if you’re a frequent Photoshop editor and you want to speed up your editing, an action may be exactly what you need.

Also, if you’re a beginner photographer and your Photoshop skills aren’t top-notch, actions can be a great way to get otherwise unachievable results with just one click.

The best Photoshop actions: final words

Now that you’ve finished this article, you’ve hopefully found a handful of actions to use in your own editing workflow.

So grab your favorite actions, hit that “Download” button, and test them out! See what kinds of effects you can produce. And have fun!

Now over to you:

Best Photoshop action FAQs

Where can I find Photoshop actions?

Action roundups – like the one in this article – are a great way to find the best actions. You might also consider joining a creative community such as Deviant Art or visiting a marketplace like Envato. Finally, some professional photographers and retouchers offer actions on their websites.

Can I create my own Photoshop actions?

Yes! You can record any set of steps in Photoshop and save them as an action. You can then apply the action to another image or use it for batch editing.

Are Photoshop actions compatible with all Photoshop versions?

Not necessarily. When you download a Photoshop action, it usually indicates its Photoshop compatibility. This generally includes a list of versions the action has been tested in, though note that it still may work in other Photoshop versions, too.

Do I lose my actions when I upgrade to a newer version of Photoshop?

No. When you upgrade Photoshop, all extra assets like actions, brushes, fonts, etc., remain present. However, it is possible that an action won’t be compatible with the newer version of Photoshop (though this doesn’t happen very often).

How do I apply a Photoshop action?

Open the Actions panel (if you can’t see it, enable it in the Window menu). Browse your actions and select the one you want. Then click the Play button at the bottom of the panel.

Are Photoshop actions free?

You can find free and paid actions online. Free actions are often samples from a paid pack of multiple actions and assets such as brushes.

OnePlus 10R renders have leaked revealing Realme GT Neo 3-like design https://www.digit.in vasan.gs@9dot9.in (G. S. Vasan) OnePlus 10R is one of the forthcoming phones from the company. Even though we are still a whole month away from its rumoured launch in May, the leaks disclosing its design are already out. In a fresh report by 91Mobiles, the OnePlus 10R renders have been shared that gives us an idea of how the device looks and how it resembles the Realme GT Neo 3 5G. OnePlus 10R Specs, Features, and What To Expect OnePlus 10R renders In the OnePlus 10R renders above, you see the phone’s punch-holed fascia and a triple camera fitted back panel. The lens arrangement is in an inverted V form thus drawing the Realme GT Neo 3 comparison. However, the position of the LED flashlight and the dimensions of the two camera islands seem different.  Although there may be other colours, here we only get to see a grey/black colour scheme. That screen is speculated to be a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz E4 AMOLED with HDR10+ support. The front camera may be a 16MP sensor. As for the back cameras, there’s rumoured to be a 50MP main lens with OIS, an 8MP super-wide sensor, and a 2MP macro unit. OnePlus 10R renders As per the earlier leaked OnePlus 10R specifications, the handset will pack a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chip inside with Android 12 based OxygenOS software laid on top. The device may come running on up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, 256GB UFS 3.1 storage, and a 4500mAh battery backed by a high-speed 150W adapter. There may also be a OnePlus 10R with 4500mAh and 80W charger support.  OnePlus seems to be ditching a 3.5mm jack and the alert slider from this phone. However, we can be sure only whence it’s officially confirmed. The 10R launch is likely in May. So, we may have to wait a bit for that. We also earlier reported that the OnePlus 10R has apparently entered the testing phase in India. Diagonal Lines in Photography: The Ultimate Guide

The post Diagonal Lines in Photography: The Ultimate Guide appeared first on Digital Photography School. It was authored by Darren Rowse.

a guide to diagonal lines in photography

What are diagonals in photography? And how can you use them to create stunning compositions?

In this article, I share everything you need to know about composing with diagonal lines, including:

  • What diagonals in photography actually are
  • How to find diagonals when out shooting
  • Easy tips to improve your diagonal pictures

Are you ready to capture diagonal photos like a pro? Then let’s dive right in!

What are diagonal lines in photography?

Diagonals refer to any slanted lines that appear in a photo, from tilted trees and road paint to partially raised arms and bent flagpoles.

Here, diagonal lines stretch across the entire image:

diagonal lines in photography shadows on a wall

In fact, diagonals are pretty easy to find; most scenes include a strong diagonal or two, plus you can turn any straight line into a diagonal simply by slanting your camera!

But what makes diagonals so great for photography?

For one, diagonals act as leading lines: they lead the viewer’s eye through the scene. In other words, they help take the viewer on a visual journey (which is pretty much always a good thing). Look at the image featured above; do you feel the diagonals pulling you through the shot?

Diagonal lines also add a sense of dynamism, or action, to an image, which is perfect for dramatic landscapes and intense street shots. When used carefully, diagonals can even give a composition depth by suggesting perspective.

So while you don’t always need to incorporate diagonals into your compositions, it is often a good idea, especially if you’re after more dynamic, engaging results.

How to find diagonal lines when shooting

As I emphasized above, diagonals are not especially difficult to find – you just have to know where to look!

Every scene has a few diagonals just waiting to be discovered. Over time, you’ll get better at spotting them, but when you’re just starting out with diagonal compositions, I’d recommend you look in a few specific places.

First, if you’re capturing landscape photos, search for lines that stretch from the foreground to the horizon, such as:

  • Fallen logs
  • Rivers
  • Blades of grass
  • Lines in the sand

Any of the above options work great as diagonals. Simply slap a wide-angle lens onto your camera, get down low over your foreground subject, and adjust the shooting angle until you get a beautiful diagonal moving through the scene.

Second, if you’re capturing portrait photos, ask your subject to position their arms so they point – diagonally! – to their face. You need to be subtle about it, and the effect should appear natural.

Third, when doing street photography, pick a clear subject, then look for lines in the surrounding environment that’ll lead the eye in the right direction. A wide-angle lens – such as a 28mm or 35mm option – can be helpful. You might then use:

  • Building edges
  • Street signs
  • Road paint
  • Curbs
  • A person gesturing

For the best results, you can get down low over a curb or line of road paint so the diagonal cuts straight toward the main subject. Alternatively, you might capture your subject moving between a maze of structures full of interesting diagonals and diagonal edges (to amplify the effect, try tilting your camera!).

4 easy tips for beautiful use of diagonals

You know all about diagonal lines and how to find them – but how can you work with diagonals for the best results?

In this section, I share my favorite tips for diagonal compositions, starting with:

1. Avoid positioning diagonals in the image corners

When you’re just starting out with diagonals in photography, it can be tempting to find a strong diagonal – like a log on a beach – and compose so that the line cuts directly from the bottom corner toward the horizon.

But while corner positioning will certainly give you powerful results, the resulting compositions often feel a bit static; they look too obviously designed.

So instead of positioning diagonals in corners, I recommend you adjust your camera for a slightly off-corner effect. By moving your camera downward, for instance, you can ensure that the diagonal intersects with the vertical edge of your shot, and by moving your camera to the right or left, you can ensure that the diagonal intersects with a horizontal edge.

How far away from corners should you keep your diagonals? Honestly, that’s your call, and there’s no easy answer. The best advice is to experiment – over time, you’ll start to determine the diagonal positioning that you like.

(Note, by the way, that you often do have the option to adjust your diagonal positions in post-processing. A little cropping can go a long way! Though it’s always best to get it right in camera when you can.)

2. Combine diagonals and straight lines to create points of interest

If you’ve read up on the rule of thirds, then you know that, while solitary lines are nice, it’s points of intersection that really draw the viewer’s eye.

In other words, the points at which two lines intersect can be very powerful.

So the next time you’re composing, find your diagonal – but then look for a second line, which the diagonal can intersect with to create a potent area of interest.

snoc-covered bridge with a river running below

Note that your second line doesn’t need to be a diagonal; you can get good results simply by combining a diagonal line and the horizon line, for instance.

But be careful: While line intersections are great for getting the viewer’s attention, you shouldn’t use them aimlessly. Instead, try to adjust your composition so that the subject is at the point of intersection. That way, when the viewer follows the lines, they go straight toward the subject!

3. Don’t include too many diagonal lines

Diagonals are great for a whole host of reasons, but it is possible to have too many diagonals, at which point your composition will start to feel messy and difficult to appreciate.

An over-diagonaled image will be especially problematic if the diagonals are crossing from different directions (whereas a handful of diagonals all moving in the same general direction can create interesting patterns; see my next tip!).

So if you do come upon a scene with dozens of diagonals, carefully evaluate your composition before hitting the shutter button. Ask yourself: Does the image feel cohesive? Or do the diagonals make it chaotic?

If a scene does feature many diagonals, you can always adjust your composition to exclude some of the more problematic areas. Try switching to a telephoto lens (zooming with your feet works, too!).

diagonal lines in a building facade

Alternatively, you can embrace the chaos. But if you do decide to go that route, make sure there are a few especially eye-catching diagonals – that is, diagonals that stand out above the rest – to keep the image coherent. Make sense?

4. Look for patterns

In the previous tip, I mentioned that a few diagonals, when moving together, can create eye-catching patterns.

And as you might expect, you can use these patterns to create highly compelling compositions (though you should be careful to avoid compositional chaos, as discussed above).

Keep an eye out for repeating diagonal elements, and when a pattern becomes clear, do what you can to incorporate it into your images. One trick is to get extra close so you can make the pattern the subject of your photo. (That way, you can create a stunning abstract shot.)

railing on stairs diagonal lines in photography

Another option is to move back and/or use a wide-angle lens to make the pattern a small – but powerful – part of the scene.

Note that diagonals in patterns tend to be stronger than diagonals on their own, so make sure that you position patterned diagonals carefully in relation to the main subject. You want to make sure the diagonals lead the eye toward the subject rather than away from it!

Diagonal lines in photography: final words

Now that you’ve finished this article, you’re ready to capture some stunning photos featuring diagonal lines.

So remember the tips I’ve shared. And start practicing your diagonal compositions!

Now over to you:

What type of diagonals do you plan to incorporate into your photos? Share your thoughts in the comments below!

WhatsApp file transfers of up to 2GB in size available for some users https://www.digit.in vasan.gs@9dot9.in (G. S. Vasan) WhatsApp is getting an option to send files of up to 2GB in size according to WABetaInfo. This new feature may be something you find very useful as the current limit of 100MB is rather limiting. At times when you want to share a file or document over WhatsApp with your friend or somebody in your contacts, then this current limit forces you to try some other app. However, those other apps lack the convenience of WhatsApp or say the accessibility of contacts from any part of the world at your fingertips. You don’t require the other person to be in close proximity as the WhatsApp file transmission takes place over the internet. How to send up to 2GB of files on WhatsApp WhatsApp 2GB file transfer feature | Source: WABetaInfo Ensure your WhatsApp is up to date. At present, the 2GB file sharing is available on WhatsApp beta version 22.7.0.76 for iOS and beta v2.22.8.5 or later for Android. Also, note it is being rolled out to some WhatsApp users in Argentina only. Check Apple App Store or Google Play Store and update the WhatsApp beta (if you have it) to the latest version. Open WhatsApp Tap on the WhatsApp contact to whom you want to send the file or document. Hit the Plus icon (on iOS) or Pin icon (on Android). From the menu that pops up, choose the Document option. A built-in file manager would appear and from it select the file which could be a document or something else. Tap on Send and the file will be sent to the contact. Here, you can choose file or multiple files of up to 2GB. If you are trying to send beyond that threshold, then you will see the “This document is too large. You can send documents up to 2GB in size,” message. Soon, this update may roll out to India and other markets, initially through beta channels but eventually via Stable releases too. So you may have to wait a bit to try this new WhatsApp feature. ideas for beautiful couples photography

Looking for some couple poses to spice up your next photoshoot?

I’ve got you covered.

Because in this article, I share 21 of my favorite couple posing ideas – perfect for engagement sessions, wedding sessions, maternity sessions, and more. I also include example illustrations so you know exactly what each pose should look like in action.

By the time you’re done reading, you’ll be ready to handle a couple photoshoot, whether it’s casual or formal, indoors or out.

Let’s do this.

1. The intimate pose

Let’s start off with a universally excellent couples pose:

The two partners stand face to face but turn their heads toward the camera. Then one partner puts an arm on the other partner’s chest, like this:

This pose is perfect for engagement and wedding sessions. Make sure you capture a mix of vertical and horizontal portraits!

2. Looking into one another’s eyes

For this pose, simply ask the couple to stand very close to one another – the closer the better! – and look directly into one another’s eyes. For an even more romantic effect, ask them to touch foreheads.

Don’t be afraid to zoom in and crop extra tight, and be sure to play around with variations. For instance, you might ask the couple to both close their eyes, to put their hands on one another’s faces, and so on.

3. Hugging from behind

This is a very easy and cordial pose that works well for weddings and other formal photoshoots.

Ask one partner to stand behind the other, then wrap the front partner in an embrace:

The couple may look straight into the camera or at each other. They can kiss for a more emotive shot.

4. Holding from behind

This is a fun and loving couple pose, with one partner standing behind the other while holding onto their shoulders:

Pay attention to hand positioning; it should be simple and natural. Ask the partner in front to hold their hands over the hands around their neck. And for an especially romantic effect, ask the partner in back to put their chin on the front partner’s shoulder.

5. Holding from behind (casual)

This is a more casual variation on the previous pose. One partner should hold the other from behind, but their right arm should loop over the front person’s shoulder while their left arm drops down across their stomach:

Note that the couple doesn’t need to look into the camera. For the best results, ask them to interact with each other by talking, offering flirtatious looks, laughing, etc. Then be ready with your camera to capture the magic!

6. Holding from behind and looking out

This pose creates a very romantic couple photo, and in my experience, it works best when you’re doing an outdoor session with some beautiful open space in the background.

Ask one partner to hug the other partner from behind, then make sure you take a few steps back and to the side. The goal is to capture the couple looking out toward a field, lake, or distant horizon, so make sure you don’t get too far back. For the best results, you should capture each person’s eye; otherwise, the shot will seem impersonal.

7. Looking up

This couple pose is common – it’s a simple hug – but the trick is to capture it from an unusual angle:

I recommend you find some elevation and shoot your subjects from above. You might use a ladder, some stairs, a balcony, or – if you’re shooting in the wilderness – a large rock. The higher you can get, the better!

8. Holding hands

This simple couple photo pose is a bit more formal, though it can work in casual situations, too. Ask the partners to hold hands, lean their heads against one another, and turn away from the camera:

It’s a pose that works well outdoors with some open space in the background. It’s especially nice at sunset; if you can position the couple above the horizon, you’ll be able to capture some truly stunning silhouettes.

9. The gentle, staggered pose

This is an easy-to-create pose that makes for lovely full-height shots. It works great for more formal sessions, though you can always try it out when doing more casual couple photography, too.

Ask one partner to stand behind the other, then ask them to take a step outward for a staggered effect:

10. The piggyback pose

This one’s a fun pose, and it’s perfect for engagement photoshoots with young couples.

(That said, don’t assume that it only works for younger people. If an older couple feels fine with the piggyback pose, then by all means, go for it!)

Start by having one partner jump on the other partner’s back. Then try different framings; take full-height shots, half-height shots, and close-ups. Oh, and be sure to capture the partners’ faces, because this pose pretty much always results in a lot of laughter!

11. Standing face to face and kissing

This couples pose is perfect for engagement photoshoots, as it’s a great way to capture the affection the partners felt when they first met.

Simply ask the two partner’s to kiss (though be sure to direct their arms and hands!):

It’s a pose that you can do anywhere, though it works especially well in crowded places, such as famous monuments, markets, and even train stations.

12. Jumping and hugging

Here’s another fun pose, perfect for enthusiastic couples on an engagement photoshoot.

Ask one partner to jump into the other partner’s arms:

The crucial part is getting the leg positioning right on the jumping subject; each leg should be bent at different angles for the best effect (see the example above).

13. Walking and holding hands

Ask the partners to hold hands, look at one another, and walk toward your camera. Make sure they start at a good distance – that way, you’ll have time to fire off a handful of shots before they get close.

I do recommend you shoot in burst mode, as the majority of your shots wil be ruined by awkward leg movements. (The second part of your job is to select photos with the best leg movements and positioning, which can be tough!)

14. Walking and holding each other

This one’s another pose with a walking couple, though it’s slightly more intimate than the previous idea. The couple should walk close together, as before, but they should hold on to each other:

As with the previous pose, you’ll need to take a number of shots – burst mode is your friend! – and choose the ones with the best leg positions.

15. Walking away from the camera

If you liked the “walking and holding hands” couples pose that I proposed above, then this one is nearly the same – just with a different camera angle!

Simply ask your subjects to walk with their arms around one another. (Holding hands works, too!) Then stand behind them, and fire off a series of shots as they walk away from your camera.

It’s a simple pose, but one that looks amazing when done right.

16. Lying on the ground

Looking for unconventional couple poses? Then try this one, where the partners lie on the ground and look toward the camera:

Make sure they get close together for a more intimate effect, and ask them to lift their upper bodies a bit and use their arms for support.

I’d recommend that you, as the photographer, get down very low. Feel free to shoot through grass and other vegetation, and if you can, widen your aperture to f/2.8 or beyond to create a shallow depth of field effect.

17. Lying on the ground and looking at each other

This pose is similar to the one shared above, except the couple should look toward one another:

couple lying on the ground

In other to make this one work, you’ll need to put a little space between partners. Again, use a low angle, and be sure to pay attention to the partners’ feet; you don’t want a distracting foot or two sticking out of a head.

18. Cuddling on the ground

Here’s another intimate couple pose, one that features some nice asymmetry:

one partner slightly above the other, looking down

One partner should be positioned slightly above, while the other should set their head against the ground. (If you’re shooting outdoors, then a blanket can be a big help!) You can experiment with different head turns; one partner can look toward the camera, both partners can look at each other, or both partners can look toward the camera.

19. Lying together, looking up

This pose is a casual, fun pose that’s perfect for engagement sessions. It’s also very easy to pull off, so it works great for subjects who aren’t totally comfortable in front of the camera.

Simply ask the partners to lie on the ground, heads next to one another:

couple lying on backs

In general, you get the best results when shooting outside, though it’s possible to get a good result when working indoors, too.

20. Sitting together on a sofa

If you’re trying to capture more formal couple images, then try out this simple option, where one partner leans back against a couch while the other leans on their chest.

For the most meaningful images, try shooting at the couple’s house (and on their favorite sofa!).

21. The classic maternity pose

While I’ve focused on engagement and wedding couple poses for most of this article, it does pay to think about maternity couple poses – just in case.

Of course, you can always use some of the poses that I’ve shared, though you may to want to consider this careful maternity pose pose:

man feels woman's stomach while hugging from behind

It looks nice for pretty much any couple, it’s romantic, and it’s a bit emotional. Be sure to pay attention to both subjects’ hands!

Couple poses: final words

Now that you’ve finished this article, you’re ready to try out some couple poses during your next session!

So commit these poses to memory. Experiment. See how well they work!

Now over to you:
