Twitter Circle Now Available For All: Here Is How To Use It https://www.digit.in vasan.gs@9dot9.in (G. S. Vasan) Twitter is a popular microblogging website but has long suffered from the lack of an engaging community aspect. So, it is mostly people posting their thoughts in 280 characters to the larger universe and it may receive hearts, hate comments, or be downright ignored based on the quality of what you post and how popular you are on the platform. This also means the posts stand exposed to a broader audience with different tastes and preferences than you. But now you can limit the radius to just the people you like or who share similar interests and opinions. Enter Twitter Circle, a new feature on the bluebird app. Twitter Circle: Here’s how it works Twitter Circle is being released widely but it may take time before you get the feature. When it is available on your end, you will see a prompt asking if you want to share with a small crowd. Twitter Circle allows you to send Tweets to only the people you pick. You can choose up to 150 people and they can be out of your follower list too. When you send the invite, the other person will be notified. These people in your Twitter Circle cannot retweet, quote tweet or share your posts but can screengrab and save the thing. Finally, here is how you can add people to your Twitter Circle: Open the Twitter app and then tap on the Plus icon to compose a Tweet. Type the tweet and add the required images and other details. Above the tweet, you’ll see an ‘Everyone’ drop-down option. Click on it and select the Twitter Circle option. You can edit the Twitter Circle members from here. Once that’s selected, you will see a tiny text intimation saying, “Only your Twitter Circle can view and reply”. You also get to edit the list of Twitter Circle members after the Tweet is live. That’s about it. So, have a fun and wholesome interaction with your close friends on Twitter. Google adds the ability to change screen resolution and other features on Android 13 beta 1: How to try https://www.digit.in vasan.gs@9dot9.in (G. S. Vasan) The first Android 13 beta is here. Google released the first of four beta versions recently and this one’s meant for the general public. However, the Android 13 beta 1 support is limited to select Pixel phones for now. We may get to learn about the other phone makers joining the Android 13 compatibility list at Google I/O in May. As for the Pixel users amongst you, we have a brief guide on how to install the Android 13 beta on your device. Here, we will also read about the various new Android 13 features discovered in this beta update. List of Android 13 supported phones Pixel 4 Pixel 4a Pixel 4a 5G Pixel 4 XL Pixel 5 Pixel 5a 5G Pixel 6 Pixel 6 Pro Besides, the above phones, the Pixel 6a might also launch soon (possibly at the Google I/O 2022 event) with Android 13 out of the box. The schedule for Android 13 for Samsung, OnePlus, and other phone makers may also be announced at this Google I/O in May. Meanwhile, in India, you should be able to install Android 13 beta 1 on the Pixel 4a, since it was the last Pixel to launch in the country. But, note that this will have bugs and so proceed at your own risk. It is advisable to save a backup of the phone data somewhere before you go ahead. How to download and install Android 13 beta on your phone Ensure that you have the Android 13 beta compatible smartphone and that it is sufficiently charged. Next up, you have to register for the Android beta program. On that site, hit the “Opt-in” button present beneath your Pixel phone. Once that’s done, you should receive the OTA update. If you haven’t received it, check within Settings > System > System Update. Download it on the phone. Using WiFi is suggested as it will be a big-size file. Once the download and the installation are complete, restart the phone. The device will boot with Android 13. Android 13 beta 1 features Source: Blog.esper.io Say for better game performance or saving battery life, you can now change the screen resolution on Android 13. Android 13 allows you to control your smart home devices from the Device Controls menu and you don’t have to unlock the phone for accessing this. The permission to access media files on Android 13 has gotten granular with options like READ_MEDIA_IMAGES for images and photos, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO for videos, and READ_MEDIA_AUDIO for audio files. So you will not have to grant access to all media files on your phone. A new QR code scanner is also available on Android 13 that is faster in detecting, scanning, and retrieving information from the code. In Android 13 beta 1, a new clipboard UI will appear on the bottom left corner of the screen when you copy some text. The 'soundfx' folder among the Android system folders have a shared library called 'libspatialaudio.so' that suggests the coveted spatial audio feature. This is something present on recent Apple iPhones. Improved playback seek/progress bar on the notification shade, more Material You colors, and other UI tweaks. So, although a few changes, they are interesting ones nonetheless, and if you happen to run Android 13, do try them. Apple WWDC 2022 will take place from June 6 to June 10: iOS 16 and other expectations https://www.digit.in vasan.gs@9dot9.in (G. S. Vasan) For the third year in a row, Apple WWDC will be held online. Well, for the most part, that is. Apple has announced its 33rd Worldwide Developer Conference will take place from June 6 to June 10. On the first day, i.e., June 6th, there will be a special offline gathering of some developers and students to watch the WWDC keynote and State of Union videos at Apple Park. Rest, on the same day, iOS 16 would be announced alongside iPadOS 16, tvOS 16, watchOS 9, and macOS 12. This year’s WWDC theme is Call to Code and you could stream it on Apple.com, the Apple YouTube channel, the Apple TV, the Apple Developer app, and the Apple Developer website. Here’s what you could expect from the Apple June 2022 event: Apple WWDC 2022: What We Know and What to Expect First of all, Apple has teased to “showcase the latest innovations in iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS.” We think we know what that means. New software versions with new changes and features! Apple will share these details through the keynote, State of the Union presentations, information sessions, learning labs, and digital lounges to engage with attendees. Speaking of which, the developers and students who attend the live offline event on June 6 would get “access to Apple engineers and technologies” to learn how these things work in tandem with the various Apple hardware. But, do note that there will be limited space, and registration for attendance will open through the Apple Developer Site and app soon. In line with the Call to code theme and being a developer conference, WWDC22 will also conduct Swift Student Challenge wherein the students are encouraged to participate and come up with a Swift Playgrounds app project on a topic of their choice, and their work will be accepted through April 25. You can check out more details about this here. Finally, Apple notes that this year, there will also be more localized content for the company’s global audience. Apple Swift Playground App “At its heart, WWDC has always been a forum to create connection and build community. In that spirit, WWDC22 invites developers from around the world to come together to explore how to bring their best ideas to life and push the envelope of what’s possible. We love connecting with our developers, and we hope all of our participants come away feeling energized by their experience,” said Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations and Enterprise and Education Marketing. In all of this, Apple hasn’t talked or hinted about any hardware announcement (unless you take the “technologies and tools to bring their visions into reality” phrase to mean something). *cough cough* Apple Glass. However, as per Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, the AR/VR glass from Apple may have been delayed due to “development snags related to overheating, cameras, and software”. Then there are also speculations of maybe a Mac Pro or any other Mac hardware with Apple Silicon to surface at WWDC 22. But since there isn’t any concrete evidence to back them up, we can’t really be sure. Let’s see. Heres how you can download Microsoft Windows 11 update without an official notification https://www.digit.in yetnesh.dubey@9dot9.in (Yetnesh Dubey) Mircosoft Windows 11 update is finally available and interested users can upgrade their Windows 10 PC/laptop to Windows 11. As per Microsoft, users should not download the Windows 11 update if their PC/laptop does not meet the minimum eligibility requirements. If they do so anyway, their devices will not receive future Windows 11 software and security updates. For all the eligible devices, there are two main methods to download the Windows 11 software update. The first method is most suitable if you have a laptop or a pre-built PC. Windows 11 Update Download (Update and Security) Click on the start button and open the “Settings” menu Once inside, select “Update & Security” and click on the “Windows Update” tab Click on the “Check for updates” button and wait for the system to respond Your laptop will most likely get the Windows 11 update option if your OEM has sent over an official notification. However, if you can’t see any Windows 11 update download prompt, you can download it update directly from Microsoft’s official website. Windows 11 Update Download (Online method) Download and install the “PC Health Check” by clicking here Open the PC health check app click on the “Check Now” button After receiving a go-ahead from the app the next step is to download Windows 11 Open Google Chrome and type in the search box “Windows 11 official download” A search result titled “ Download Windows 11” will appear, click on it Once the page loads, under the heading “Windows 11 Installation Assistant” click on “Download Now” Open the downloaded installer on your PC It’ll prompt you to Use the PC Health Check app, ignore it and press refresh if you’ve already finished this process. The next step is to accept the license agreement and install Windows 11 by clicking on “Accept and Install” With these two steps, you’ll get Windows 11 installed on your PC/Laptop in no time. I installed the Windows 11 OS on my Lenovo Legion 5 Pro and the Dell 9520 laptop using the online method. On both laptops, the new Windows 11 OS is running without any major issues. Few Google Chrome extensions in my web browser are not working properly but other than that, the update is free of bugs. https://ift.tt/3lfJgWv October 06, 2021 at 06:06PM

The Fujifilm GFX50S II Medium Format Mirrorless Camera launched in India at Rs 3,79,999 https://www.digit.in aliakbar.merchant@9dot9.in (Ali Akbar Merchant) The Full Frame camera segment has dominated the Indian professional camera market for decades now. But on October 6th, 2021, Fujifilm launched the GFX50S II in India which might pull some of the Full Frame fanatics to it, thanks to a larger than Full Frame (Medium Format) sensor and a price that rivals some of the cameras in the Full-Frame mirrorless segment (like the Canon EOS R3, Sony Alpha 1, etc). Fujifilm also launched the Fujinon GF35-70mm f/4.5 -5.6 WR lens along with the Fujifilm GFX50S II Body. The price of the GFX50S II is Rs 3,79,999 for the body only and with the Fujinon GF35-70, the total price is Rs 4,49,999. Fujifilm GFX50S II specifications The Fujifilm GFX50S II features a whopping 51.4 Megapixel Medium Format sensor. And as most professionals would already know, having a larger sensor has a ton of benefits. The larger sensor size results in a larger area that receives light per pixel. The end result of which is better low light performance, excellent ISO sensitivity and improved dynamic range. An added benefit is the ability to produce a shallower depth of field when compared to the popular Full Frame cameras. Meaning more creamy bokeh. Fujifilm is also known for its superb Film Simulations and the GFX50S II features 19 of them. Including one called “Nostalgic Neg” which has been developed specifically for the GFX50S II. Like most other mirrorless cameras, the GFX50S II comes with a 5-axis in-body image stabilisation mechanism (IBIS) that provides 6.5 stops of stabilisation. Promising better image quality with handheld photography or video. Considering the large sensor in a compact body, this feature is one of the highlights of the camera. Handling the processing duties is the X-Processor 4 processing engine that enables improved Auto Focus refresh rate which results in more accurate Face and Eye detection when compared to other Fujifilm Cameras. Other features include six customisable positions on the Mode dial, a 3.2-inch tilting main LCD monitor with 100% coverage, a 1.8-inch sub LCD monitor on the top panel, a weather-sealed body and the capability to click 200 Megapixel images free of any false colour representation thanks to the Pixel Shift Multi-Shot function. The Fujifilm GFX50S II will available in two variants. As a Body only version and one with the Fujinon GF35-70 f/4.5-5.6 WR Lens included. It will be available for purchase at all Fujifilm authorised dealers across India. https://ift.tt/3Dgbkir October 06, 2021 at 06:03PM

Android 12 will allow users to play a game while it downloads https://www.digit.in news@digit.in (Digit NewsDesk) Android 12 will enable users to start playing a game while it downloads on their smartphones. The new feature was announced at Google for Games Developer Summit 2021. The new feature is especially useful for games with a large download size, such as those between 2GB to 5GB. Users can now start playing such large titles as they download in the background. Android 12 brings new features for games Google's Android 12 will use a feature called “Play Asset Delivery,” which allows game developers with a game larger than 150MB to publish a single artifact with all the necessary resources to start it. In other words, it breaks the game into multiple playable chunks, which users can easily download and start playing, while the rest of the game installs in the background. In their presentation, Google demonstrated that a 127MB game became available to play twice as fast on Android 12 as compared to 11. It should be noted that game consoles like the PlayStation and Xbox already have such a feature in which you can start playing a game once a certain amount of it downloads in your storage. Additionally, Android 12 will also launch with a brand new gaming-focused dashboard featuring quick access to features like screenshots, recording, etc. The Android 12 gaming dashboard will launch on "select" devices later this year. OEMs like ASUS, OnePlus and others that make performance-oriented smartphones already offer some form of a gaming dashboard. With Android 12 though, this feature will become universal. Gaming on Android is picking up “steam” as several PC-focused developers continue to launch versions of their games on smartphones. Following the success of miHoYo developed, Genshin Impact, Sandbox Interactive also launched Albion Online on Android smartphones. Games from other notable titles like League of Legends, Diablo, and Apex Legends are also set to make their debut on smartphones. https://ift.tt/3AUlFR3 July 13, 2021 at 09:16PM
