Reports indicate that you can choose between three different time stamps - 24 hours, 7 days and 90 days - and the messages will disappear once the time is up. Both the updates are not available to Beta users at the moment, though some users are reporting that they can s;et timings for disappearing messages. This is mainly because Whatsapp allows you to set a default timing under its privacy settings - and this is a very rudimentary version of what the app is planning to offer.
