OnePlus Folding Phone is rumored to be inspired by Oppo Find N: Heres what that could mean https://www.digit.in vasan.gs@9dot9.in (G. S. Vasan) OnePlus may soon hop on the foldable bandwagon. After all, it is among the very few brands that are yet to make a folding smartphone. Even one of its BBK brethren is gearing up to debut the Vivo X Fold as we speak. So, the news about a OnePlus foldable device should rouse at least its ardent fans. That said, this could be something that’s familiar as the latest bit of rumors (from Yogesh Brar via Pricebaba) suggest the OnePlus folding phone is a “copy of Oppo’s Find N”. This wouldn’t come off as surprising to those who know OnePlus and Oppo (Both BBK subsidiaries) are known to share resources between them. However, since Oppo Find N was launched in December 2021 and the OnePlus foldable is expected to launch later this year or in 2023, the latter’s specs (perhaps some of it) may be brought up to date. In any case, here’s what the Oppo foldable sports, for your understanding: Oppo Find N Specs and Features Outside, Oppo has given a 5.49-inch screen with an 18:9 aspect ratio, 1972x988 resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, and a Gorilla Glass Victus protection. Inside, it has a 7.1-inch, 1920x1792 pixel, 120Hz LTPO ‘Serene Display’. On top of this, there is a 0.03mm Ultra Thin Glass (UTG). Oppo boasts the engineering of its Flexion Hinge (with 136 individual parts) that’s tested for 200,000 folds and unfolds. It can be propped up at various angles between 50 to 120 degrees. Internally, the Find N comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage, a 4500mAh battery, 33W SuperVOOC wired charging, Android 11 based Color OS 12, 5G, 4G LTE, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, etc. The Find N specifications also include a 50MP triple camera system by the back and a 32MP camera on the front and inside. So, let’s see what all out of these would be carried over to the new OnePlus Fold or whatever that would be called. In time, we shall.
