This could come in handy if you accidentally made a mistake. It could be a silly typo or any factual incorrectness. It is fine and could happen to anyone. But, the good news is now you have this edit feature. Here’s how it works — How WhatsApp Editing Option Could Work 1. Long press on the message you want to correct. 2. Tap on the Edit button from the 3-dot menu. 3. Now, make the changes that need to be made. Now the leak doesn’t reveal if you have to do the necessary changes within a time window. Apparently, WhatsApp has been planning to bring the edit option for quite a while now, dating as back as 2017. The hints of an edit feature popped up first in the WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.17.26, although the same didn’t cross over to the stable release. This time things could be different.
